Anna Lawrence - CEO

Anna has always been passionate about sport and the outdoors throughout her life. She played for the NZ Black Sticks hockey team for 12 years including the Olympics & Commonwealth Games. ​​

Her working career has included senior roles for corporates in NZ and Australia, national sports organisations and technology start-ups. ​​

Anna loves helping others realise their potential and sees her role at the Alpine Trust as a privilege.​​

Aside from enjoying time with her partner and their four children, she enjoys coaching youth sport and mentoring young and retiring athletes.​​

Jason Pearson - Programme Leader

Jason Pearson - Programme Leader

Jason is an experienced educator previously having management roles in Physical Education, Sport and Outdoor Education.​​

Jason is passionate about the outdoors and the future of our youth. He sees the opportunity of joining the NZAT team as a fulfilling role that will make a difference in young people's lives.​​

Kristen Tingey - Operations

Kristen Tingey - Operations

Kristen (KP) is a mother of four teenagers, an active relaxer who loves being in the outdoors.​​

KP has worked locally and globally as a events director and now works for NZAT founder, Cameron Wilson at Oyster Capital.​​

KP is passionate about helping teenage boys unlock their potential and brings her experience, energy and planning expertise to the Trust.​

Zion Armstrong

Zion Armstrong

Zion Armstrong grew up in West Auckland and is a former Commonwealth Games athlete who represented New Zealand in athletics on the world stage in Kuala Lumpur.​

He started working in the sportswear industry at the age of 16 and later joined adidas where he climbed through the company ranks working in Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea and the US before being named president for adidas North America.​

He is seen by his peers as a renowned leader and during his two decades offshore has used his Māori and Pacific values to connect and empower teams, foster a diverse and inclusive culture and grow talent. ​

He believes if you put people first, results will follow.​

Cameron Wilson - Founder & Chair

Cameron Wilson - Founder & Chair

Cameron is the founder and Managing Director of Oyster Capital Ltd, a private development company behind 2,000+ residential lots across Auckland, with industrial land developments, commercial property holdings, and other business interests. Cam has 25+ years in property, real estate, and land development,​

A former New Zealand Ski Team member, Cam now serves on the Alpine Ski Committee, advising Snow Sports New Zealand. ​

An avid outdoors-man, he loves skiing most of all, along with diving, fishing, camping, jet boating, surfing, and aviation. Cam holds a private pilot’s license and is partner to Gemma and proud father of two children, Georgie and Jack.

Amanda Maoate

Amanda Maoate

Amanda is a values based leader driven by a purpose to create resilience through connection and compassion.  ​

Specialising in working with young people and their families within Aotearoa from varying cultures, backgrounds and religions.   ​

Working within diverse communities helps her thrive and remain committed to her learning journey.  ​

With a background in nursing and current qualification as a registered psychotherapist her attraction to the Alpine Trust is to further enhance and influence the lives of youth from a unique platform.  ​

Amanda has three adult daughters which she says is her biggest achievement in life, providing her with challenge, hope, inspiration and the desire to better herself on a daily basis.   ​

Jono Howson

Jono Howson

Jono moved to New Zealand in 2010 returning to the ski industry for the first time since the 1980s. He is currently the Alpine Director for Snow Sports New Zealand (SSNZ) and chairs the Alpine Technical Committee, the domestic technical body for Alpine ski racing in New Zealand. He also has committee roles at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) representing New Zealand and athlete interests at the world body.​

Prior to 2010 Jono was a teacher working at London Inner City Comprehensives in Westminster and Wandsworth.  He was subsequently appointed Deputy Head of Humanities at the  Institute of Education, University of London (IOE) teaching and working as a research academic in history education and other publicly funded research.​

In the mid 1980s Jono worked in the City of London for the Lloyd's broker Willis Faber & Dumas ltd in their marine and third party liability divisions placing risks for US clients at Lloyd's of London and the other London based limited liability markets. ​

He left the City in the mid 1990's to start and build two businesses in the marine safety and toy industries.​
